Users can manage all the system generated and user tags using this module.
Sorting & Searching Tags
Sorting - You can sort tags using available sorting options that include Created At, Name, and Type. Clicking once will sort the records in ascending order, as shown by an up arrow symbol. Clicking twice will sort the column in descending order, as shown by a down arrow symbol. Clicking thrice will remove the sorting on the column, as indicated by no arrow symbol.
Search - User can search tags using tag names.
Create a Tag
1. Login as a System administrator.
2. Click on the Settings menu (gear icon) along the Syntasa top-nav bar.
3. Select 'Admin Center'.
4. Click 'Tags' icon shown on the left side bar.
5. Click the plus icon () to add a new tag.
>>'Create New tag' pop up screen will appear.
6. Name: Enter Unique name.
7. Click 'Save'.
The new tag will appear on the 'Tags' screen and will be available for use within an app.
If you click Cancel on the above screen, it will cancel the recent changes you have made in the tag name field and close the pop up.
Rename a Tag
- On the tags list, click rename icon () for the tag.
- Inline editing will be enabled for the tag.
- Name: Enter new unique name and click 'Save'.
Tag name will be updated all over the application including records that are using this tag.
If you click Cancel on the above screen, it will cancel the recent changes you have made in the tag name field and close the inline editing.
Delete a Tag
- On the tags list, click Delete icon () for the tag.
- On the confirmation pop up, click 'Delete'.
The tag will be removed from the tags list and from all records (e.g. Connection, apps, data stores etc) it is associated with.
Additional Points:
- You can also check the number of records associated with a particular tag. The count is displayed next to each tag in the tags list. When a new record is tagged, the count increases by one. Conversely, if a tag is removed from a record, the count decreases by one.
- Only System administrator has access to 'Admin Center'. Therefore, tags under 'Admin Center' can only be managed by a user with 'System administrator' role.
