A data layer serves as the foundation where users define the building blocks for creating attributes. At its core, creating a data layer involves selecting the necessary datasets to design attributes effectively.
While most organizations typically require only a single data layer, additional data layers can be created to address specific needs. For example, separate data layers may be established for each brand or customer-facing identity requiring distinct dataset inputs or requiring the resulting attributes and audiences to remain separate. Syntasa staff will collaborate with you to design and create the appropriate data layer(s) for your organization.
It is essential to understand that each data layer is associated with a single attribute result table and a single audience result table. If multiple attribute apps are built on the same data layer, all these apps will write their results to that layer's shared attribute result table. Similarly, any audience apps created within the same data layer will share a single audience result table. This structure ensures consistency and centralized management of results while accommodating flexibility in attribute and audience design.
