Overview
Building a campaign in the CCDP platform follows a standardized, guided workflow to ensure your targeting, logic, and delivery are configured accurately. While the specific options will adapt based on the Channel you select (Web, Email, or Paid Media), the foundational architecture remains the same.
The configuration process is divided into three core steps:
Step 1: Define Campaign
This is where you establish the identity and strategic purpose of your campaign. You will define the metadata (Name, Description, and Labels) and select a Primary Conversion Goal so the platform knows exactly what metric dictates success for your specific use case.
Step 2: Specify Personalization & Delivery
This is the core of your campaign configuration, built around a logical [When → Then → How] sequence.
Eligibility Conditions (When): You will use the visual rule builder to define exactly who should see this campaign using behavioral data, profile attributes, AI predictive scores, or existing audience lists.
Select Data to Send (Then): You will define what specific data (e.g., Visitor IDs, custom attributes) gets passed downstream to your activation channels once a user qualifies.
Activation Method (How): You will select the data delivery method either via the standard Profile Attributes API or creating a dedicated Campaign API for the campaign
Step 3: Activate Campaign
The final step dictates the operational timeline. Here, you set the campaign's Start Date, Start Time, and overall Duration (e.g., "Always On" or a custom date range). You also determine the system's evaluation frequency - whether the audience is evaluated continuously in real-time (Streaming) or at standard intervals (Batch).
