Dashboards provide you with the ability to embed external links/ dashboards within SYNTASA for ease of access.
In order to add a dashboard click on the plus icon (+).
- Name - A user-friendly name for the Dashboard. It should be a unique name
- Tags - Custom-free text field. Users can either create a new tag or select it from the Tags drop. To know more about this, please refer to this article.
- URL Link - Provide a valid URL. It’s a mandatory field
- Folder - Select the desired folder path where the Dashboard needs to be saved
- Open dashboard in new tab - If the user checks the radio button, then the dashboard will open in a new tab
- Override Icon - Toggle button, only need to turn it on if you would like to use a custom icon.
- Existing Icon toggle off - This allows the user to upload a new icon for the app. When uploading a new icon it must be given a name so that it can be referenced and searched for and thus is available to be reused on a different dashboard
- Pick a sharing option - When creating a new dashboard the sharing option selection will be available to make the dashboard available as Private, Public, or Group. Regardless of the selection, a user with the role of System Admin will always have access to all dashboards. The sharing option selected at the time of creating the dashboard can be changed by the owner or a system administrator.
-
Owner - The owner of the dashboard is by default the user who is creating the dashboard. This can be changed, if needed, by the owner or the system administrator, after the dashboard is created.
After providing all mandatory details, click on the green ‘CREATE’ button in order to create a new dashboard
